Lisa Leeman produced the award-winning Metamorphosis: Man into Woman, and One Lucky Elephant, which was broadcast on OWN and selected for the U.S. State Department’s American Documentary Showcase.
 
Her award-winning film Awake (Paramahansa Yogananda), won the Audience Award at the Illuminate Film Festival, and the Spirit of Cinema Award at the Maui International Film Festival. Awake surpassed a million dollars at the box office, and is one of the 17 films directed by women in 2014’s top-grossing films. She directed Out of Faith for PBS, produced Crazy Wisdom: The Life & Times of Chogyam Trungpa, co-directed (with Haskell Wexler) Who Needs Sleep and edited Made in LA.
 
Lisa has served as President, International Documentary Association, and on the boards of the IDA and the National Coalition of Independent Public Broadcasting Producers. She sits on the faculty of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, and has taught master classes on documentary filmmaking in China, Portugal, Jordan, & Malawi.
